Anxious?   Worried?   Angry?    Scared?
There are MANY characters in the Bible who wrestle
with the 'location' of God. During our time we will
take a look at a few of these notable characters and
see if what we can learn. Understanding more fully
the concepts around 'presence' and 'absence' …or as
Luther described…the hidden and revealed
God…might help in our vocational understanding.

About Pastor Scott: Rev. Scott Maxwell-Doherty, University Pastor at California
Lutheran University with his wife Melissa since 2000. Scott has served parishes in '
Glendale CA, Phoenix, AX and Grand Forks, ND. A consistent theme in all of these
parish settings has been the important role and influence of youth and family
ministry. A keen area of joy is the work he has done in the area of Confirmation,
noting that the way the church deploys its theological grounding requires
thoughtful and energized action. Scott and Melissa have 2 children, Kyle – a
doctoral student at Univ. of Az, and Nathan - a recent grad of CLU.

You're invited to join Pastor Scott as he leads this thought-provoking discussion
on the spiritual aspects of job loss.  To learn more about Pastor Scott  and Pastor
